The month that was @ The Marbles

The last full month of the 2010 season has come to a close, and we're putting a bow on it right here. Did you miss a day or so along the way? No prob, we've got the details on the big stories right here. Just keep up next time, willya?

• NASCAR's Hall of Fame inducted its second class in a highly controversial move. Why no DW? (We had an idea.)

Kasey Kahne got bounced from Richard Petty Motorsports, and that might have been the proverbial straw that broke the King's company's back.

Kyle Busch learned that you can't quite push around non-Chasers whenever you want.

• South Park skewered NASCAR, though we look forward to the new sponsorship from Vagisil.

• ESPN's Marty Reid offered up his take on the state of NASCAR broadcasting in an interesting and thought-provoking interview.

• The mystery caution became Public Enemy No. 1 in NASCAR this month.

• As Fontana bade farewell to its second date, we asked: does any track really deserve two races?

• ESPN debuted its exceptional new Tim Richmond documentary, and we reviewed it here.

• Sad news, as NASCAR lost Jeff Byrd and Jim Hunter.

• Remember when there was beef between Kevin Harvick and Denny Hamlin? There's been so much rage and anger since then that it's tough to recall, but it happened.

• A sinkhole opened in the Charlotte Motor Speedway infield. Insert "we found Junior's career" jokes here.

• Former NASCAR driver Shane Hmiel was critically injured in an accident.

• Hot twins racin' cars made for one of our most popular posts ever.

• And finally, race car + kangaroo = hilarity, every single time.

So there you have it, a fine month all the way around. Let's wrap up the season in fine style, everybody!
